Parents and caregivers of preschoolers, come build your children’s literacy skills as we talk, sing, read, and play together. Approximately 30 minutes.

Wee Read

Thursdays, 10:30 a.m.

How do you grow a reader? Begin with Wee Read – your special time to enjoy sharing songs, rhymes, and books with your babies and toddlers. Approximately 20 minutes.

Family Storytime

Saturdays, 10:30 a.m.

Picture books are for everybody and so is Family Storytime! Making reading and language fun is the best way to ensure children will be readers. Come enjoy! Approximately 30 minutes.

Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library

Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library is a worldwide program that works with community partners to provide free books to children from birth to age five. Registered children receive a book every month in the mail – addressed specifically to them. DPIL aims to inspire a love of reading in children by increasing access to books at home and encouraging families to spend time enjoying books together.

The Coralville Public Library, Library Foundation, and Friends of the Library have partnered with The Dollywood Foundation to bring the Imagination Library to the children of Coralville. There is no cost or obligation for Coralville families.

Children under age 5 who are residents of Coralville can register.

Rural Johnson County residents under age 5 are eligible to enroll in person at the Coralville Public Library.

Eight to ten weeks after your registration form is received, books will begin arriving at your home through the U.S. Postal Service. Your child will continue to receive a book each month until they turn 5 or move away from Coralville. The first book they will receive is The Little Engine That Could.

Be a legal resident of Coralville.
Submit the online registration form below, completely filled out by a parent or guardian. (Or fill out a paper registration form at the Coralville Public Library.)
Notify the Coralville Public Library any time your address changes. Books are mailed to the address listed on the official registration form. If the child’s address changes (within the city of Coralville) you must contact the Coralville Public Library so your child will continue receiving books.
