I was just along for the ride. We were all just along
for the ride. Despite all of the unbearable fear and pressure pushing
down on me, I found myself bearing it. I wanted that second of joy, of
happiness, that seemed as though it wouldn’t end. The pain was
temporary. I couldn’t wait to tell Megan about my ride.
Our family went out to eat with Sara, and Dave. I knew that despite
the laughter and happiness, everyone in my family bore some sort of
invisible pain, waiting for that moment of pure joy.
